Ms. Annie Julia Gladdin


Ms. Annie Julia Gladdin, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at her residence. Graveside services were held on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Warthen, Georgia with Rev. Dr. Christopher Watkins officiating.

Ms. Gladdin was born on January 5, 1954 to the parentage of the late Mr. Sammie Gladdin, Sr. and the late Mrs. Willie Mae Lawrence Gladdin.

Annie Julie was a very humble person, who always had a warm welcoming smile and a giving heart. She was well known for saying “Jack.” She was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She attended the public schools of Washington County, graduating with the class of 1974.

She was preceded in death by four sisters: Ms. Betty Mae Lawrence, Ms. Pinkie Mae Lawrence, Ms. Annie Lee Gladdin, Ms. Zenia Gladdin and two brothers: Mr. Jefferson Gladdin and Mr. Calvin Gladdin.

Ms. Gladdin leaves to cherish her memories four daughters: Ms. Saketha Gladdin, Ms. Felicia Peeler (Terik Walker), Ms. Ashley Peeler, Ms. Jasmine Brookins; one son: Mr. Steve (Crystal) Gladdin; three sisters: Ms. Amanda Lawrence, Ms. Virginia Gladdin, Ms. Carolyn Gladdin; two brothers: Mr. Sammie Gladdin, Mr. William (Mary Ann) Gladdin; eight grandchildren: Montravious Gladdin, Ladarious Pinkston, Larrick Pinkston, Terrion Walker, Terrell Walker, Kaitlyn Walker, Zachariah Owens, Khloe Peeler; two aunts: Ms. Willie Mae Lawrence, Ms. Mary Veasley; devoted niece: Ms. Pamela Gladdin; devoted nephews: Mr. Mark Gladdin, Mr. William Brown; devoted friends; Ms. Vera Ivey, Mr. Phil Ivey, Mrs. Rebecca (Tony) Mimbs, Mr. Terry Lord, Mr. Aaron Archer and family; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

To cherish their memories of several years of laughter and real love, she leaves her devoted companion: Mr. Eddie Brookins. M. C. Smith Funeral Home in charge.
