Mr. Joseph Brown, Sr.

Mr. Joseph Brown, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at his residence in Hampton, Georgia. Graveside services were held on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Holly Spring Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Brawner officiating.

He was born on March 26, 1958 to the parentage of the late Deacon Willie Charles Brown and the late Mrs. Mary Lue Brown.

After graduating from Washington County High School in 1976, he entered into the United States Army, where he retired with an Honorable Discharge after twenty years of faithful service. Afterwards, he began his twenty three year career at Brinks; where he was a devoted employee, supervisor and co-worker.

Mr. Brown leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted companion: Ms. Latonja Hixson, Hampton, Georgia; children: Mr. Joseph (Jamilia) Brown, Jr., Tennille, Georgia, Ms. Tinishante Brown, Ms. Latoya Brown (Deidre), Riverdale, Georgia; children he nurtured: Mr. Dante Hixson, East Point, Georgia, Ms. Jashia Dale, Hampton, Georgia; sister: Ms. Betty Wiggins, Atlanta, Georgia; two brothers: Mr. Willie (Patricia) Brown, Sr., Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Thomas Brown, Warthen, Georgia; six grandchildren: Jonathan Merrell, Shanira Brown, Harrison, Georgia, Jyquin Brown, Javon Brown, Jazlon Brown, Jayla Brown, Tennille, Georgia; a host of other relatives and friends.
