Mrs. Mary Wiley

Mrs. Mary Wiley, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Navicent Health Medical Center after a life filled with joy and laughter. Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. from the Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Sandersville, Georgia with Rev. Kelvin Bouyer officiating. The body will lie in state from 12 noon until the hour of the service.

Mrs. Wiley was born on March 30, 1953 in Sandersville, Georgia to the parentage of Mrs. Tressie Lee Dudley and the late Mr. Elbert Dudley, Jr. She was the oldest of eight children.

At an early aged she joined Green Grove Baptist Church.

Mary received her education from the public schools of Washington County, graduating from Washington County High School in 1971. After graduating, she attended Georgia College and State University receiving a Bachelors Degree in History. After college she was employed by the Washington County Board of Education for twenty eight (28) years.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Willie James Wiley, Sr.; brother: Mr. Terry Dudley and nephew: Mr. Adam Dudley.

Mrs. Wiley leaves to cherish her memories one son: Mr. Willie James Wiley, Jr., Sandersville, Georgia; mother: Mrs. Tressie Lee Dudley, Sandersville, Georgia; two sisters: Ms. Tressie Mae Braddy, Ms. Caroline Dudley, Sandersville, Georgia; four brothers: Mr. Gary Dudley, Hephzibah, GA, Mr. Melvin Dudley, Mr. John Dudley, Rev. Jerry Dudley, Sandersville, Georgia; one aunt: Ms. Bernice Jordan, Cleveland, Ohio; one uncle: Mr. Ernest Jordan, Cleveland, Ohio; four sisters-in-law: Mrs. Earlean (Joseph) Young, Raleigh, North Carolina, Mrs. Verdell (Adrain) King, Bailey, North Carolina, Ms. Jeanette Scott, Milledgeville, GA, Mrs. Lena (Dennis) Jones, Stone Mountain, Georgia; three brothers-in-law: Mr. Freddie Wiley, Mr. Tommie (Diane) Wiley, Mr. Donnie (Ida Mae) Wiley, Warthen, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
