Ms. Elmira Reeves

Ms. Elmira Reeves, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 in Hampton, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Kingdom Life Fellowship, Harrison, Georgia with Apostle Clifford Duckworth officiating. Interment was held in Harrison City Cemetery.

She was born April 5, 1941 in Washington County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mrs. Onelia Shivers Kennedy and the late Mr. Cephus Kennedy.

At an early age Ms. Elmira joined Springfield A.M.E. Church in Harrison, Georgia where she worked on the usher board for many years.

In the year 1960 she was joined in marriage to Mr. Arthur L. Reeves. For many years she was employed at Washington County Regional Medical Center.

She relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where she attended Turner Chapel A.M.E. Church. Elmira was employed at Northside Hospital for twenty five (25) years before retiring.

Ms. Reeves leaves to cherish her memories three children whom she loved dearly: Mrs. Sandra (Jesse) Spears, Hampton, Georgia, Mr. Michael (Shenesa) Reeves, Fayetteville, Georgia, Mr. Mark Reeves, Fairburn, Georgia; two sisters: Ms. Lillie Thomas, Mrs. Mary (Joe) Walker, Jr., Harrison, Georgia; two brothers: Mr. Archephus (Mildred) Kennedy, St. Petersburg, Florida, Rev. Wilbert (Johnnie Mae) Kennedy, Harrison, Georgia; former daughters-in-law: Ms. Julie Reeves, Ms. Zenobia Johnson, Atlanta, Georgia; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
