Mr. Cummings is survived by three sons: Mr. David (Katherine) Cummings, Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Newsom (Carol) Cummings, Gainesville, Georgia, Mr. Jim (Kathleen) Cummings, Hillsborough, North Carolina; grandchildren: McKinsey Cummings, Milledgeville, Georgia, Mary Michael Logue, Kyle Logue, Richmond Hill, Georgia, Grace (Riakeem) Kelly, Decatur, Georgia, Grant Cummings, Gainesville, Georgia, Maggie Cummings, Lily Cummings, Hillsborough, North Carolina; brother-in-law: Mr. Strickland (Barbara) Newson, Sandersville, Georgia; three great-grandchildren, several other relatives and friends.
