Mr. Calvin Rogers

Mr. Calvin Rogers, Sandersville, Georgia passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 in Augusta, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at St. James Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Mack Jackson officiating. Interment was held at St. James C.M.E. Church Cemetery, Warthen, Georgia.

Mr. Calvin Glenn Rogers was born on November 3, 1964 to the parentage of the late Mr. Wilfred Rogers and the late Mrs. Mildred Elizabeth Ivey Rogers.

Calvin joined St. James CME Church at a young age. He attended the Washington County Public Schools and graduated in 1982. After graduation, he joined the United States Marine Corps where he served four years. For many years, he was employed by the United States Postal Service in Atlanta, GA, Carlstar Group in South Carolina and most recently KFC in Sandersville, GA.

Mr. Rogers is survived by two brothers: Min. Alvin (Cherry) Rogers, Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Clifford (Sylvia) Rogers, Ellenwood, Georgia; four sisters: Ms. Nevetta Rogers, Sandersville, Georgia, Ms. Judith Rogers, Riverdale, Georgia, Ms. Vensus Rogers, Atlanta, Georgia, Ms. Angela Rogers, Atlanta, Georgia; cousin; Mrs. Audrey (Richard) Jenkins, Harrison, Georgia. Several other relatives and friends. M.C. Smith Funeral Home in charge.
