Mr. Lucilious "Bill" May

Mr. Lucilious "Bill" May, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at The Georgia Veterans War Home in Milledgeville, Georgia. Graveside services were held on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 3:30 P.M. at Piney Mounty Baptist Church with Apostle Clifford Duckworth officiating.

He was born on September 5, 1933 in Warthen, Washington County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Raphel May and the late Mrs. Zephie Stafford May.

He attended the Washington County Public School System and graduated from the T. J. Elder High School. After graduation from high school Mr. May served in the United States Army from which he was honorably discharged, after completing his obligation.

Mr. May worked for many years in the carpentry field, employed by Van Dollar Construction.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Zeffie Stafford Henderson; his father, Mr. Raphael May; one sister, Mrs. Reba May Warren; one brother, Mr. Timothy May.

Mr. May is survived by one nephew: Apostle Clifford (Lillie) Duckworth, Sr., Sandersville, Georgia; one great nephew: Mr. Clifford Duckworth, Jr., Augusta, Georgia; one great niece: Ms. Charisa Duckworth, Augusta, Georgia; one cousin: Ms. Ella Mae Hawkins. Three step-grandchildren: Ms. Catina C. Moye, Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Tony Newton, Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Jackie Brown, Sandersville, Georgia. Several other relatives and friends. M.C.
