Mr. Jimmy Collier

July 15, 2017

Mr. Jimmy Collier passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at a local hospital. Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Second Darien Baptist Church with Rev. James Simmons officiating. Interment was held in Camp Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

Mr. Jimmy L. Collier was born on February 15, 1966 in Sparta, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Willie (Sport) Collier and Mrs. Christine Jordan Collier.

Death Angel came on Saturday, July 15, 2017 and took his soul to his eternal resting place.

 

Jimmy was a member of Second Darien Baptist Church, Sparta, Georgia. He graduated from Hancock County High School in 1984.

 

Mr. Collier was united in holy matrimony to Ms. Henry Ethel Gladden on December 23, 1997. He was employed by W.F. Jackson Construction Company until he became disabled.

 

 

Mr. Collier is survived by his wife: Mrs. Henry Ethel Collier, Sparta, Georgia; a devoted son: Mr. Quintavis Collier, Sparta, Georgia; mother: Mrs. Christine Collier, Sparta, Georgia; three sisters: Mrs. Katie Macklin, Sparta, Georgia, Ms. Patricia Collier, Mrs. Doris Rozier, Milledgeville, Georgia; two brothers: Mr. Grady (Janice) Collier, Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Ronnie Collier, Sparta, Georgia; father-in-law: Mr. Felix Sapp, Sparta, Georgia; six aunts: Mrs. Jenny Lundry, Mrs. Emma Jordan, Mrs. Wanda Jordan, Mrs. Mary Jordan, Sparta, Georgia, Mrs. Marion Cotton, Medina, New York, Mrs. Sadie Randall, Newark, New Jersey; three uncles: Mr. J.C. (Estella) Jordan, Mr. Ralph (Myrtice) Taylor, Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Columbus (Maranda) Lewis, Sparta, Georgia; sister-in-law: Mrs. Cathy Wicker Minor, Sandersville, Georgia; special cousins: Mrs. Mary Rollings and family Davisboro, Georgia; Mr. Walter (Lottie) Thomas and family  Bartow, Georgia, Mr. Willie (Sonja) Hornes and family, Wrightsville, Georgia, Mr. John Wicker and family, Bartow, Georgia; special niece: Mrs. Carnetha (Eric) Carswell, Sparta, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. M.C.
