Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. from the lawn of New Birth Christian Ministries, Tennille, Georgia with Elder Patrick Wilson, Sr., officiating. Interment was held in the Middle Hill Baptist Church cemetery, Warthen, Georgia.

Behold I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word Luke 1:38

Ms. Linda D. Williams, a woman of God, approached great opportunities with willingness and enthusiasm. She was a woman who sought God in her ordinary everyday life and did not merely wait for the burning bush or a booming voice from heaven. She looked for God in her normal activities and tried to live a pure and godly life even on her average days. Linda was a servant leader who opened her home to many. She not only raised her children, but she raised her neighbor’s children. Linda was a woman who knew that greater the opportunity there was not failure, the greater the opportunity there was for success. She took on the opportunities that presented themselves.

Ms. Williams graduated from T.J. Elder High School in 1967 and began her career as an entrepreneur owning her own daycare where she continued to impart wisdom and knowledge into the lives of young babies. With that not being enough, she became a foster parent where she continued to advise and counsel young people about good and bad choices. Linda retired from the State of Georgia, and God gave her the strength to continue to serve Him by working in her church and community.

She was a dedicated member of New Birth Christian Ministries, and she willingly and faithfully served in the ministry. Linda loved her pastors, Pastor Patrick Wilson, Sr. and First Lady Van Nessal Wilson. She enjoyed attending church services but most of all she enjoyed fellowshipping, laughing and serving. Linda’s heart was to do the work that pleases God, so sharing the Gospel and loving on God’s people was natural for her. She committed to do this as a reliable member of the Golden Girls Ministry and the Comfort and Compassion Ministry.

Linda was born July 7, 1949 to the parentage of the late Mr. Carlos and Mrs. Lucille Daniels.

She was preceded in death by her sister: Ms. Annie Johnson and two brothers: Mr. Lester Daniels and Mr. Marion Daniels.

Ms. Williams leaves to cherish her memories, three sons: Mr. Stanley (Irma) Williams, Grovetown, Georgia, Mr. Keith L. Williams, Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Ron Williams, Sparta, Georgia; one daughter: Ms. LaTonya Miller, Sandersville, Georgia; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. M.C. Smith Funeral Home in charge.
