Ms. Cordia Foster


Ms. Cordia Foster, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Holly Spring Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Brawner officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.


Cordia, also known as Cordi and Nail was born on February 20, 1967 to the parentage of Mrs. Margaret G. Foster and the late Mr. George L. Foster, Jr. She was the youngest of three children.


Ms. Foster was a 1985 graduate of Washington County High School. She found great enjoyment in listening to different genres of music and completing challenging crossword puzzles. She will be remembered for her quiet and meek mannerism. She was a caregiver for her mother and brother.


She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Mrs. Pearline and Mr. Taylor Gundy, Mrs. Georgia Rose and Mr. George Foster, Sr.; aunts: Ms. Shirley Minor, Ms. Rosie Mae Boyd; uncles: Mr. Maurice Foster, Mr. Hardwick Gundy, Mr. Eugene Gundy and a nephew: Mr. Ardavius Foster.


Ms. Foster leaves cherished memories to her mother: Mrs. Margaret G. Foster, Sandersville, Georgia; two brothers: Mr. Keith (Fonda) Foster, Mr. Eartha Foster, Sandersville, Georgia; ten aunts: Ms. Cora Mae Jordan, Ms. Annie Pearl Jordan, Mrs. Delane (Karl) Gundy, Ms. Thelma Taylor, Sandersville, Georgia, Ms. Louise Taylor, Riddleville, Georgia, Ms. Floyd Jackson, Warthen, Georgia, Ms. Shirley Turner, Warner Robins, Georgia, Ms. Catherine Haynes, Baltimore, Maryland, Ms. Rosie Daniel, Atlanta, Georgia, Ms. Lisa Foster, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; four uncles: Mr. Adolphus (Jeannie) Foster, Sr., Tennille, Georgia, Mr. Tyrone Foster, Mr. Robbie Foster, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mr. Bobby (Tina) Gundy, Cleveland, Ohio; a host of nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.
