Mrs. Lou Willie J. Howell

Mrs. Lou Willie J. Howell, affectionately known as "Sis", passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021. Graveside services were held on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Bobby Warren officiating.

She was born on July 2, 1925 to the parentage of the late Mr. Dave Jackson, Sr. and the late Mrs. Katie Peeler Jackson. She was the youngest of all her siblings.

At an early age, she accepted Christ and was a lifelong member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. She attended California School. At the ripe age of ninety four (94) she excitingly registered to vote in Washington County and thereafter, never missed an election.

Mrs. Howell worked on a poultry farm for many years. She loved spending quality time with her family and friends and watching her favorite sport on television, Pro Wrestling.

“Ms. Sis” was married to the late Mr. O.C. Howell and their union was blessed with four children. She was left a widow early in the union due to the passing of Mr. O. C. in a car accident. She was always grateful for her brother, Mr. Dave Jackson, Sr. and her mother-in-law “Granny” for always stepping in and helping her raise her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Mr. O.C. Howell; daughter: Mrs. Irene Lango and all of her siblings.
