Mrs. Dorothy Lewis

Mrs. Dorothy Lewis passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Navicent Health, Macon, Georgia. Graveside services were held on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Bro. Cleotha Pough officiating.

She was born on February 15, 1942 to the parentage of the late Mr. Bee Foster and the late Mrs. Mary S Foster.

She was a 1959 graduate of T.J. Elder Middle School.

In 1960, she was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Franklin Lewis, Sr. and they were married for sixty two (62) years.

On December 27, 1975, she was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness. Mrs. Lewis had a passion for yard work and planting flowers in her garden. She loved cooking and sitting on the porch in her rocking chair. She adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren near and far.

She was preceded in death by a daughter: Mrs. Angela D. Gay and a grandchild: Mr. Chadric Lewis.

Mrs. Lewis leaves cherished memories to her two daughters: Ms. Idetta Lewis, Ms. Chandra Lewis, Tennille, Georgia; two sons: Mr. Stephen Lewis, Tennille, Georgia, Mr. Franklin (Britta) Lewis, Jr., Germany; three sisters: Ms. Evelyn Foster, Tennille, Georgia, Ms. Christine Stubbs, Sandersville, Georgia, Ms. Thelma Evans, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two brothers: Mr. Raymond (Yvonne) Foster, Warthen, Georgia, Mr. Leroy Foster, New Jersey; six granddaughters: Mrs. Taniesha (Marcus) Pace, Ms. Yterenickia Bell, Ms. Porsha Gay, Ms. Malikia Lewis, Ms. Sade Lewis, Ms. Ceiayla Riddle; three grandsons: Mr. Ahmad Pretty, Mr. Bradrick (Keke) Bell, Ms. Isaiah Tarver; two great grandchildren; devoted friend: Mrs. Annie Pearl Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
