Mr. John Wesley Harden





Mr. John Wesley Harden entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Select Specialty Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Samuel Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Eric T. Adams officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

He was born on April 8, 1961 to the parentage of the late Mr. Willie Fred Harden and the late Mrs. Mildred Gilmore Harden.

Mr. Harden attended the public schools of Washington County, graduating with the class of 1979. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army where he served for several years.

He was preceded in death by his sister: Ms.  Linda Jean Harden and brothers: Mr. Willie Harden, Mr. David Harden, Sr. and Mr. Fred Harden, Sr.

Mr. Harden leaves to cherish his memories, his sister: Ms. Peggie Harden of Tennille, Georgia; niece: Ms. Clairessa Harden of Tennille, Georgia; nephew: Mr. David Harden, Jr.; aunts: Mrs. Elizabeth Harden, Mrs. Ida Mae Harden, Mrs. Lizzie Harden all of Tennille, Georgia;   uncles: Bishop Herman Gilmore of Charlotte, North Carolina, Mr. Roy Harden of Wrightsville, Georgia; great nieces: Tamia Robinson, Jamya Ledford; great nephews: Jamari Ledford, Jalen Ledford; special friends: Mrs. Janie Lord, Mrs. Mary Meeks, Mrs. Annette Miller, Mrs. Louise Wilcher, Mrs. Fannie Kendrick, Mrs. Gloria Harper, Mrs. Yolanda Wilcher, Mrs. Denise Brown, Mrs. Rebecca Brown; a host of other relatives and friends. Harden, Jr.; three aunts: Mrs. Elizabeth Harden, Mrs. Ida Mae Harden, Mrs. Lizzie Harden, Tennille, Georgia; two uncles: Bishop Herman Gilmore, Charlotte, North Carolina.
