Mr. Charles E. Landers

Mr. Charles E. Landers, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Washington County Regional Medical Center. Graveside services were held on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Landers Family Cemetery with Elder Jessie Mountain officiating.

He was born on March 2, 1950 to the parentage of the late Mr. M.H. Landers and the late Mrs. Veris Hagan Landers.

Mr. Landers grew up on Thomas Jones Place, Tennille, Georgia. He attended the public schools of Washington County. At an early age he joined Springfield Church.

On January 11, 1971, he married the love of his life, Ms. Mary Helen Irwin. They were blessed to share forty-nine wonderful years together. This union was blessed with three children.

Mr. Landers leaves to cherish his memories, his wife: Mrs. Mary Helen Irwin Landers, Harrison, Georgia; three children: Mr. Charles Landers, Jr., Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Curtis Louis Landers, Harrison, Georgia, Mrs. LaToshia (Chauncey) Key, Atlanta, Georgia; one sister: Mrs. Patricia (Beverly) Dunn, Hephzibah, Georgia; three brothers: Mr. Lindsey (Joanne) Landers, Mr. Larry (Shirley) Landers, Mr. Thomas Landers, Harrison, Georgia; four sisters-in-law: Mrs. Eva (Robert) Holmes, Mrs. Bessie (Willie) Hall, Mrs. Geneva (Ralph) Dixon, Harrison, Georgia, Mrs. Mary (Herbert) Cato, Deepstep, Georgia; three brothers-in-law: Mr. David (Katherine) Irwin, Mr. John Henry Irwin, Harrison, Georgia, Mr. Bishop Dock (Linda) Irwin, Milledgeville, Georgia; two god-brothers: Mr. Charles (Vanessa) Cosby, Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Johnny (Linda) Cosby, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; devoted friends: Mr. Floyd (Jackie) Walker; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. M.C.
