Mr. Edward Charles Dunn


Mr. Edward Charles Dunn, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Navicent Health Medical Center, Macon, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 1:00 PM at New Birth Christian Ministries with Senior Pastor Patrick Wilson, Sr. officiating. Interment was held in Harrison Cemetery.


He was born on November 2, 1947 to the parentage of the late Mr. Andrew James Dunn and the late Mrs. Reddie Mae Dunn.


Mr. Dunn attended public schools of Washington County. He joined Harrison Spring Baptist Church at an early age. After residing in Macon, Georgia, he attended Beulahland Baptist Church for many years.


He worked as an independent contractor in several counties for many years.


Edward enjoyed his life to the fullest. To know him was to love him he touched many lives by smiling, laughing, talking loud, telling jokes and speaking a kind and encouraging word to help us along the way. He had a passion for his children and grandchildren and has raised many as his own.


Mr. Dunn loved his family and friends dearly, but most of all, he loved God. He enjoyed the many events that involved them making sure there was never a dull moment in his presence.


He was preceded in death by a daughter: Mrs. Angela Woods; two sons: Mr. Donald Armstrong, Mr. Chris Dunn; sister: Ms. Patricia A. Dunn and a brother: Deacon Beverly Dunn.


Mr. Dunn leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted companion: Mrs. Ellen Wilder Dunn; three daughters: Ms. Natosha Jones, Mrs. JaQuetta (Lindsey) Brown, Mrs. Keta (Tyrone) Ward; five sons: Mr. Ennis (Idella) Johnson, Mr. Eric Daniels, Mr. Michael Prather, Mr. Derrick Dunn, Mr. Larry Richards; six sisters: Ms. Geraldine Ingram, Mrs. Pauline (Tommie) Hagans, Ms. Elizabeth Horton, Ms. Ruby Williams, Ms. Joyce Dunn, Mrs. Gloria (Marshall) Haynes; one brother: Mr. Robert J. Dunn; one sister-in-law: Mrs. Patricia L. Dunn; twenty four grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. M. C. Smith Funeral Home in charge.
