Mr. Ben Jr. Holmes

Mr. Ben Jr. Holmes passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Navicent Health Baldwin. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at New Birth Christian Ministries with Senior Pastor Patrick Wilson officiating. Interment was held in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

He was the first born son of the late Mr. Ben Holmes and Mrs. Betty Holmes.

Mr. Holmes was a native of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where he was a graduate of the class of 1988 from Ft. Lauderdale High School. He     became a permanent resident of Tennille, Georgia in 1999.

He worked multiple jobs before he became a  devoted employee with the Georgia Department of Transportation for over seventeen years. He loved doing mechanic work.

Mr. Holmes was a faithful member and Deacon of New Birth Christian Ministries for several years.

He loved his family and friends and would do anything for anyone.

Mr. Holmes leaves cherished memories to his wife: Mrs. Sonya Holmes; children: Mr. Jer'von (Shaquanda) Holmes, Mr. Alphonso (Brittany) Holmes, Mrs. Jessica Holmes (Ricardo) Ridore, Ms. Quantrell Holmes, Mr. Benzell J. Holmes, Mr. Kenbrill J. Holmes;  sister: Ms. Agnes    Jarrett; brothers: Mr. Carl (Ella) Gordon, Mr. Patrick (Jeanette) Nelson, Mr. Bennie (Gloria) Holmes, Mr. Dennis Holmes, Sr., Mr. Lennis (Tara) Holmes, Mr. Evan Skinner; one granddaughter: Miss Parrys Smart; a host of   nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
