Mr. Willie Earl Veal

Mr. Willie Earl Veal, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 in Augusta, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Deepstep, Georgia with Rev. Bobby Warren officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

Mr. Veal was born on October 16, 1953 in Sandersville, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Ivey Thomas Veal, Sr. (I.T.) and Mrs. Corene Watts Veal. He was the oldest of five children.

At an early age he joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. During his youth he was very active in church programs and bible school.

Earl received his education from the Washington County Public School System. During high school, he was an exceptional trombone player in the marching band. He graduated with the class of 1971. After high school, he briefly lived in Brooklyn, New York. Earl was a hard worker in everything. He held several managerial positions within the grocery industry.

He was a die hard enthusiastic fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and Dodgers. His shouting could be heard by the whole neighborhood.

Veal, Atlanta, Ga, Ms. Nita M. Veal, Sandersville, GA; two brothers: Mr. Ivey T. (Terri) Veal, Jr., Mr. Linton Veal, III (Lucinda Jackson), Sandersville, GA; grandchildren: Miss Alexis Wilcher, Miss Layla Simmons, Sandersville, GA, Miss Erykah Carswell, Mr. Darrius Carswell, Miss Danyelle Carswell, Graniteville, SC; aunts: Ms. Marian Watts, Tennille, GA, Mrs. Betty Poole, Sandersville, GA; Mrs. Lillie M. Cato, Mrs. Lila (Crawford) Jones, Milledgeville, GA, Ms. Viola Veal, Brooklyn, New York, Mrs. Arnita Scott, Ms. Juanita Veal, Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Arlene Stevens, Coatesville, PA; great aunt: Mrs. Ora Mae Harden, Sandersville, GA; devoted nieces and nephews: Mr. Marcus Veal, Mr. Brandon Rawlings, Mr. Quinton Veal, Mr. Rashaad Veal, Ms. Shatoria Veal, Ms. Jai Veal; a host of other relatives and friends.
