Mrs. Winifred Wiley

Mrs. Winifred Wiley, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019. Funeral services were held on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at St. Paul AME Church, Sandersville, Georgia with Rev. Rose Johnson Mackey officiating. Interment was held in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

She was born on November 8, 1927 in Savannah, Georgia to the parentage of the late Ms. Ida Stafford.

At an early age, she joined St. Paul A.M.E. Church. She was educated in the public school system of Washington County.

In 1950, Mrs. Wiley married the late Mr. Zelmon Wiley, Sr. and their union was blessed with five children. She worked as a seamstress until retirement.

She was preceded in death by her son: Mr. Willie Fred Wiley.

Mrs. Wiley leaves to cherish her memories a daughter: Mrs. Deborah (Henry) Thomas, Dublin, Georgia; three sons: Mr. Farris Wiley, Sr., Mr. Zelma (Maxine) Wiley, Jr., Mr. Vinson (Betty) Wiley, Tennille, Georgia; ten grandchildren: Mrs. Shawanda Gainer, Ms. Camegan Wiley, Ms. Elfreida Wilcher, Mr. Shelly Thomas, Ms. Dedra Thomas, Mrs. Gabrielle Harris, Mr. Dexter Wiley, Mr. Farris Wiley, Jr., Mr. William F. Wiley, Mr. Zelma Wiley, Jr.; devoted cousin: Ms. Carolyn Fulton; devoted friends: Ms. Daisy Wiley, Ms. Janice Wright; twenty three great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
