Mr. Arthur Hayles
Mr. Arthur Hayles passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 in Decatur, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Neeler AME Church with Rev. Dr. Wilhelmina Jordan officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.
Mr. Hayles was born on June 18, 1944 in Washington County to the parentage of the late Mr. Jack and Mrs. Louise Hayles.
Arthur accepted Christ and joined Neeler A.M.E. Church at an early age and was later ordained as a deacon at Flat Shoals Tower Baptist Church in Decatur, GA.
He was a 1962 graduate of T.J. Elder High School. Later, he moved to Milwaukee, WI where he retired from Rexnord Chain Belt.
Arthur will be remembered as a loving family man, deacon and friend. He was a dedicated father and husband and a devoted brother to his siblings.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Ms. Sharon Hayles, and two brothers: Mr. Lonnie Hayles and Mr. Lemuel Hayles.
Mr. Hayles leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife: Mrs. Barbara Ann Hayles, Lithonia, GA; three daughters: Mrs. Jennifer (Napolean) Hayles-Keith, Ms. Lolita Hayles-Pope, Stone Mountain, GA, Mrs. Latasha (Tiko) Hayles-Arnold, Decatur, GA; two sons: Mr. Roderick (Denise) Fort, Sandersville, GA, Mr. Stevie Haynes, Lithonia, GA; six sisters: Mrs. Eunice Jones, Philadelphia, PA, Mrs. Helen (Scott) Mckinnie, Akron, OH, Mrs. Mary Ethel (Theotis) Jackson, Davisboro, GA, Mrs. Lucy (Richard) Mathis, Decatur, GA, Mrs. Debra (Nathaniel) Young, Conyers, GA, Ms. Angela Hayles, Atlanta, GA; four brothers: Mr. Leotis (Cynthia) Jordan, Providence, RI, Mr. Jack (Jacqueline) Hayles, Jr., Decatur, GA, Mr. Saul Bennie (Rosalyn) Hayles, Jonesboro, GA, Mr. Reginald Hayles, Duluth, GA; seven grandchildren: Jasmine Carter, Patrice Fort, Jair Arnold, Jaylon Arnold, Tiana Painter, Jewell Heard, Sade Sims; one great grandchild: Jamir Davis; three sisters-in-law: Ms. Rochelle Fort, Ms. Patricia Haynes, Ms. Linda Hollis; six brothers-in-law: Mr. Jerome (Pamela) Haynes, Mr. JT Haynes, Mr. Bennie (Mary) Haynes, Mr. Mark (Jannie) Haynes, Mr. Anthony Haynes, Mr. Frank Haynes; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
