Memorial COGIC Cemetery.

Mr. Brown was born on September 10, 1942 to the parentage of the late Mr. A.J. Brown and the late Mrs. Lillian Culbreath Brown in Johnson County, GA.

Mr. Levie as a father, as a brother and as a friend, was one of the most respected, admired and beloved people in our community, despite his humble background and education. He was educated at Tucker and Dock Kemp Schools in Johnson County. Everyone who knew him, loved him; and everyone who took time to listen to his story, had to admire what he accomplished.

The keys to Mr. Brown’s success are amazingly simple. He worked extremely hard, mastered his craft, treated everybody right and loved God. He devoted over fifty seven years at Jackson Construction Company, retiring as a Master Mechanic. He seemed happiest while engaged in his life-long love of farming. Mr. Levie willingly shared both his time and his finances taking care of others (family and friends alike). Most importantly, he devoted himself to worshipping God and Jesus. He served faithfully as a deacon and musician at M.C Memorial Church of God in Christ.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Mr. Rudolph Brown, Mr. Wilson Janet Brown; son: Mr. William Jamal Thomas; grandson: Mr. Dequnan R. Johnson.

Mr. Brown leaves to cherish his memories a large network of family and friends including a devoted companion: Mrs. Reda Darrisaw Thomas; four daughters: Mrs. Felicia (Randall) Graddy, Mrs. Amie (Anthony) Norris, Mrs. Pankielon Jones, Mrs. Tarryl Darrisaw; four sons: Mr. Demetrius (Cassandra) Brown, Mr. Derenee Thomas, Mr. Kimmer (Fleisha) Darrisaw, Mr. Colanders (Cassandra) Darrisaw; seven sisters: Mrs. Annie Bessie Brown, Mrs. Annie (Pedro) Whitley, Mrs. Lillie Horne, Mrs. Bessie Brown, Mrs. Daisy Stewart, Mrs. Alisa (Glenn) Darrisaw, Mrs. Arlene (Isaac) Bivens; eight brothers: Mr. L.J.
