Ms. Sadie Lane


Ms. Sadie Lane, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 in Augusta, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Piney Mount Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Roy Grissom officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.


Ms. Lane was born on February 26, 1949 in Sandersville, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Isaiah Reynolds, Sr. and Mrs. Robbie Reynolds.


At an early age she joined Piney Mount Baptist Church in Warthen, Georgia where she served on the Usher Board until her health failed in 1998.


She was a 1967 graduate of T.J. Elder High School. After graduation, she married the late Mr. Harold Eugene Jackson. This union was blessed with one son.


Sadie spent several years living in the Atlanta area, upon returning to Sandersville, she met and married the late Mr. James Lane.


To know Sadie, was to know fun, love and laughter.


She was preceded in death by one sister: Mrs. Leoma Ross; two brothers: Mr. Q.P. Reynolds, Mr. Jessie Reynolds and one niece: Ms. Jackie R. Thomas.


Ms. Lane leaves to cherish her memories, her son: Pastor Ron (Peggy) Jackson, Sandersville, Georgia; one brother: Mr. Isaiah Reynolds, Jr., Sandersville, Georgia; two grandchildren: Mr. DeRonte Jackson, Mr. Tre (Tanisha) Jackson, Jesup, Georgia; four great grandchildren: Christian Jackson, Makayla Jackson, Malanah Jackson, Mahzion Jackson, Jesup, Georgia; three nieces: Mrs. Belinda Faye (Charlie) Poole, Milledgeville, Georgia, Ms. Kimberly S. Reynolds, Woodstock, Georgia, Ms. Tina Burke, Macon, Georgia; two nephews: Ms. Stacy Reynolds, Detroit, Michigan, Mr. Kenneth (Louise) Reynolds, Atlanta, Georgia; devoted niece: Ms. Brittaney Harden; devoted step-son: Mr. Darryl (Linda) Reaves, Sandersville, Georgia; loving cousin: Ms. Nette Hood, Sandersville, Georgia; three sisters-in-law: devoted Ms. Dorothy Jackson, Ms. Lillie B. Reynolds, Ms. Willie M. Reynolds; caring and loving caregiver and friend: Mr. Jack Morris, Sandersville, Georgia; a host of other relatives and friends. M. C.
