Ms. Mary Lue Braddy Poole

Ms. Mary Lue Braddy Poole, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Holly Spring Baptist Church with Rev. Norris Rouse officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Poole was born in Warthen, Georgia on March 18, 1944 to the parentage of the late Mr. Elton Braddy and Mrs. Cornelia Hall Braddy.

She attended the public schools of Washington County. She relocated to Augusta, Georgia and worked as a Nursing Assistant for thirty five (35) years.

Mrs. Poole enjoyed her soap operas, the Young and the Restless and the Bold and the Beautiful were her favorites and Victor Newman was her favorite character. She enjoyed family gatherings and cooking. Her specialties were candy apples and bar-b-que pig feet. She was always full of life and laughter and everyone enjoyed being around her.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Ms. Mattie Pearl Braswell, Mr. Otis Braddy, Ms. Carrie Lee Little, Mr. Milton Braddy, Mr. Arthur Braddy, Ms. Viola Little and Mr. Roy Braddy.

Mrs. Poole leaves cherished memories to her children: Ms. Linda Washington, Ms. Wanda Poole, Mr. Anthony Poole, grandson raised as a son, Mr. Justus Campbell; sisters: Mrs. Barbara (Herman) Burten, Ms. Eloise Braddy; sisters-in-law: Ms. Cora Lee Braddy, Ms. Bertha Braddy; twelve (12) grandchildren; twenty (20) great grandchildren; one (1) great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
