Ms. Diana Warthen

Ms. Diana Warthen, Sandersville, Georgia passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 in Augusta, Georgia. Graveside services were held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. Rose Mackey officiating.

On Wednesday, February 19, 1986, “Mama Duke” became the fourth out of five children of Mrs. Ollie Mae Warthen and the late Mr. Jethroe “WoWo” Warthen, Jr.

She was a graduate of the Golden Hawks Class of 2006 at Washington County High School, Sandersville, Georgia. Her most rewarding moments were becoming a loving mother of her beloved son, Yirmeyah and her beloved daughter, Trinah. God blessed her to meet the love of her life, Mr. Ben Wheeler. Ben and Diana planned to stand before God and unite their love on Thursday, November 11, 2021. This date along with her melodious voice and many memories will be cherished by her children, fiancé, mom, siblings other relatives and friends.

Diana was preceded in death by her children’s father: Mr. Leo “Skeet” Watts, Sr. and her father Mr. Jethroe “WoWo” Warthen, Jr.

Ms. Warthen leaves cherished memories to her son: Master Yirmeyah Watts, Sandersville, Georgia; daughter: Miss Trinah Watts, Sandersville, Georgia; fiancé: Mr. Ben Wheeler, Sandersville, Georgia; mother: Mrs. Ollie Mae Warthen, Sandersville, Georgia; brothers: Mr. Jeff (Griselle) Warthen, Cochran, Georgia, Mr. Julius (Angelica) Warthen, Victorville, California; sisters: Ms. Doris Louise Warthen, Sandersville, Georgia, Mrs. Mary (Nigel) Guy, Cairo, Georgia; nephews: Jarius Marquis Clayton-Warthen, Alfredo Silva, James Augustus Copithorne, Hizqiyah Warthen, Yosiyah Warthen, Zion Warthen, Marcos Warthen, Niyan Marik Guy, Nehemiah Warthen; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
