Mr. Willie A. "Bill" May

Mr. Willie A. May, affectionately known as "Bill," Bartow, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at his residence. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 12:00 Noon at Jones Chapel C.M.E. Church with Rev. Lenard Vining officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

He was born on September 7, 1939 to the parentage of the late Mrs. Addie Lena Gibbons Jackson and the late Mr. George May, Jr.

Mr. May attended the Jones Chapel C.M.E. School. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was employed for many years in Syracuse at Mac Millian Book Company and then in the public school system.

He was preceded in death by a sister: Ms. Virginia Roberson.

Mr. May leaves to cherish his memories, his children: Mr. Willie Parker, Raleigh, North Carolina, Ms. Bertha Parker, Mr. Anthony (Amy) May, Ms. Rhonda May, Coatesville, Pennsylvania; siblings: Mr. John Wesley (Ruby) Daniels, Irvington, New Jersey, Mrs. Rosia L. Lynn, Newark, New Jersey, Mr. Oliver (Carrie) Gibbons, Mrs. Ellen M. Tarver, Mr. Wilbert May, Bartow, Georgia, Mr. Melvin (Jackie) May, Jacksonville, Florida, Mr. Robbie May, Sandersville, Georgia, Mrs. Dora L. (Wayne) Jackson, New Orleans, Louisiana, Mrs. Ora L. Green, Miami, Florida, Mr. Stanley (Faye) May, Grovetown, Georgia, Mrs. Orlanda (Eugene) Jackson, Tennille,   Georgia, Mrs. Edna Wiggins, Augusta, Georgia, Mr. Shannon May, Columbia, South Carolina, Ms. Daisy Evans, Athens, Georgia; ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren; a host of  other relatives and friends.
