Mr. Allen Moment, Sr.

Mr. Allen Moment, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at his residence.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Green Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Perry Burden officiating. Interment was held in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Moment was born on July 26, 1954 to the parentage of the late Mr. Albert Moment, Sr. and the late Mrs. Lillie Mae Moment Hall.

He was reared in Washington County, Georgia. He attended the Washington County School System and participated in the class of 1973.

At an early age, he joined Limestone AME Church. Allen worked for Burgess Pigment in Sandersville, Georgia and retired in 2016 after thirty-five (35) years of service.

Allen was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. Allen loved to fish; and a great fisher he was!

He was preceded in death by his brother: Mr. Moneyque Moment, Sr. and two nieces: Ms. Michelle Moment and Mrs. Kimberly Baker Ellington.

Mr. Moment leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife of forty-two years: Mrs. Kathy Moment; one daughter: Ms. Lillie Patricia Moment; one son: Mr. Allen Moment, Jr.; four grandchildren: Mr. Quenstavious Jackson, Ms. Sha’lexus Jackson, Ms. Shawntyunna Moment, Mr. Tristian Jackson; five great-grandchildren: Kayden, Trevin, Summer, Terrin, Christian; two brothers: Mr. Albert (Carolyn) Moment, Jr., Mr. Clarence (Brenda) Moment, Sr.;seven sisters-in-law: Mrs. Annie Moment, Mrs. Janet Jones, Ms. Arlene Hicks, Mrs. Faye West, Mrs. Lois Barnwell, Ms. Brenda Hicks, Mrs. Brinda (Alvin) Wilson; three brothers-in-law: Mr. James E. Hicks, Mr. Kenneth (Jane) Hicks, Mr. Ellis Hicks; two aunts: Minister Dorothy Simons, Mrs. Shirley Rooney; nephews and nieces: Mr. Moneyque Moment, Jr., Ms. Angela Moment, Mrs. Breana (Ulysses) Johnson, Mr. Albert Moment, III, Mrs. Alicia (Jesse) Soto, Mr. Clarence (Brittany) Moment, Jr., Mr. Clarence Jamal Moment, Mrs. Felicia (Ronald) Cooper, Mr. Brian Hicks, Mr. Marcus West, Mr. Chris West, Mr. Kendrick Hicks, Mr. Kenny Hicks, Jr., Ms. Anesha N.
