Mr. Marion L. Dixon, Sr.

Mr. Marion L. Dixon, Sr. passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at his residence. Graveside services were held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Camp Spring Baptist Church with Minister Myrtle Maze officiating.

He was born on February 23, 1953 to the parentage of the late Mr. George Roy Dixon and the late Ms. Mattie Laura Kemp.

He attended the public school system of Washington County. He loved spending time with his family and friends, fishing and going to church.

Mr. Dixon leaves cherished memories to his loving devoted wife of forty three years: Mrs. Joyce Poole Dixon, Harrison, Georgia; one daughter: Mrs. Timiki (Sammie) Swint, Tennille, Georgia; two sons: Mr. Marion L. (Rose) Dixon, Jr., Summertime, Georgia, Mr. William R. Dixon, Tennille, Georgia; devoted grandson: Mr. LaChavis Poole, Sandersville, GA; thirteen grandchildren; one sister: Mrs. Floridean Powell, Tennille, Georgia; two brothers: Mr. Otis (Willie Pearl) Dixon, Davisboro, Georgia, Mr. William (Belinda) Dixon, Harrison, Georgia; one sister-in-law: Mrs. Marion Poole, Savannah, Georgia; three brothers-in-law: Mr. Jimmy Lee Poole, Mr. Ulyesse Poole, Riddleville, Georgia, Mr. Leon (Tracie) Poole, Sandersville, Georgia; devoted niece: Mrs. Bernice Brown, Sandersville, Georgia; devoted friends: Mrs. Christine Jordan, Ms. Ella Pearl Hilson, Sandersville, Georgia, Mrs. Fannie Green, Monroe, Georgia, Mr. Darin Johnson, Louisville, Georgia, Mr. Darin Tarver, Bartow, Georgia; a host of other relatives and friends.
