Mr. L. C. "Jeff" Bivins
Mr. L. C. Bivins, affectionately known as "Jeff", 219 Lincoln Drive, Tennille, Georgia passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Augusta University Medical Center, Augusta, Georgia. Graveside services were held on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at 12 noon at Dixon Grove COGIC with Rev. Marque Harden officiating.
He was born on March 19, 1943 in Johnson County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Sam Bivins and the late Missionary Lizzie Mae Perry Bivins.
Jeff was well known as a singer of both gospel and secular music and a mechanic throughout the surrounding counties.
He was preceded in death by five brothers: Mr. Marion Bivins, Mr. Sammy George Bivins, Mr. Sammy “Peter” Bivins, Mr. Elisha Bivins, Mr. John Lewis Bivins; and two sisters: Mrs. Matinee Martin and Mrs. Mary Warthen.
Mr. Bivins leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted son and caregiver: Mr. Christopher Deon Bivins, Tennille, Georgia; sons: Mr. Kadrian (Laura) Reeves, Dublin, Georgia, Mr. Imus Mearidy, Harrison, Georgia; two daughters: Mrs. Pamela (Melvin) Johnson, Sandersville, Georgia, Ms. Patricia Green, Atlanta, Georgia; two step-daughters: Mrs. Vickie (Marque) Harden, Mrs. Angel Fleming, Sandersville, Georgia; one sister: Ms. Catherine James; one brother: Mr. Willie (Bonita) Bivins, Atlanta, Georgia; former wife: Mrs. Diane Bivins, Sandersville Georgia; three sisters-in-law: Mrs. Helen Bivins, Oak Hill, Florida, Mrs. Rhonda Bivins, Bridgeport, Connecticut, Mrs. Caroletha Bivins, Wrightsville, Georgia; devoted friends: Mr. Arthur Rushin, Sheriff Joel Cochran, Mr. Chris Tanner, Mrs. Lizzie Lee Green, Mrs. Cathy Moye, Mr. Earnest Graham, Mr. Jerome Darrisaw, Mr. Michael Renfroe, Ms. Betty Brantley, Ms. Penny Johnson, Mr. Bobby Hooks, Mr. Mark Lindsey, Mr. Antonio Hooks, Mr. Frank Simmons; fourteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
