Mrs. Viola Little


Mrs. Viola Little, Warthen, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at her residence. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Holly Spring Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Brawner officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service.

She was born on June 26, 1941 to the parentage of the late Mr. Elton and Mrs. Cornelia Braddy.

She attended Washington County Public Schools. At an early age she joined Holly Spring Baptist Church. She was a caregiver for many citizens in Washington and surrounding counties.

Mrs. Little was a lifelong member of Shiloh Chapter #8.

Her spirit of joy and laughter will be missed by those near and far.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Mr. H.R. Little, Sr.; two sons: Mr. Holmes Ralph Little, Jr. Mr. Jesse Little; two sisters: Ms. Carrie Lee Little, Ms. Mattie Pearl Braswell; four brothers: Mr. Milton Braddy, Mr. Arthur Braddy, Mr. Otis Braddy, Mr. Roy Braddy; granddaughter: Ms. Takenda Little; son-in-law: Mr. Jimmie Lee Jackson.

To cherish their memories of several years of laughter and real love, she leaves her companion: Mr. Sammie Gladdin of Warthen, Georgia.

To carry on her legacy, she leaves three daughters: Mrs. Kathy (Robert) Battle of Dublin, Georgia, Mrs. Lillian (Alfred) Cole of Milledgeville, Georgia, Ms. Lavern Little of Sandersville, Georgia; three sons: Mr. Joe Little, Mr. Bertram Little of Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Larry Little of Atlanta, Georgia; three grandchildren she raised as her own: Mr. Michael (Doretha) Little of Waynesboro, Georgia, Mr. Jarvis Little of Warthen, Georgia, Mrs. Trielawakena (Antonio) Sudler of Savannah, Georgia; three sisters: Ms. Mary Poole of Augusta, Georgia, Ms. Eloise Braddy, Mrs. Barbara (Herman) Burton of Warthen, Georgia; three sisters-in-law: Mrs. Bert Braddy of Warthen, Georgia, Mrs. Beulah Cordy Little of Davisboro, Georgia, Mrs. Pearlie Little of McDonough, Georgia; devoted niece: Ms. Alice Braswell of Lithonia, Georgia; devoted caregiver: Ms. Julia Veasley of Warthen, Georgia; two devoted friends: Ms. Lula Miller, Ms. Betty Walker; thirty (30) grandchildren; fifty four (54) great grandchildren; nineteen (19) great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
