Mr. Leroy Jones

Mr. Leroy Jones, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Smith Medical Nursing Care Center, Sandersville, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Georgia Grove Baptist Church with Elder Jessie Mountain officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.

Mr. Jones was born on December 12, 1942 to the parentage of the late Mr. Roy Lee Green and the late Mrs. Gladys Mae Scott.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather: Mr. Raymond Scott, Sr.; two sisters: Ms. Winnie Mae Scott, Ms. Nora Green; and four brothers: Mr. Rayford Scott, Mr. Charlie Wiggins, Mr. Raymond Scott, Jr. and Mr. Russell Scott.

Mr.Jones leaves cherished memories to his daughter: Ms. Felecia Henderson, Tennille, Georgia; three grandchildren: Mr. Montico Maze, Mr. Monterrio Maze, Mr. Monquez Henderson, Tennille, Georgia; one great grandchild: Makai Maze, Sandersville, Georgia; four sisters: Mrs. Kay (Clinton) Darrisaw, Mrs. Lizzie (Tommie) Hagans, Ms. Marie Scott, Ms. Jeanette Scott, Tennille, Georgia; five brothers: Mr. William (Sandra) Green, Mr. Robert (Kay) Scott, Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Theodis (Antionette) Scott, Dublin, Georgia; Mr. Eddie Scott, Tennille, Georgia, Mr. Randolph Scott, Augusta, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
