Mrs. Hannah Hurst

Mrs. Hannah Hurst, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at her residence. Funeral services were held on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Word of Life Church with Dr. Michael S. Parker officiating. Interment was held in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

She was born on May 30, 1962 to the parentage of the late Mr. Felton Tukes and the late Ms. Mary Simmons.

Hannah was a graduate of Southwest High School. After high school she continued her education at Crandall Junior College, Progressive Trends Beauty School and Oconee Fall Line Technical College.

She was the owner and operator of her own beauty salon. For many years she sang with the gospel group “Angels of Mercy.” In later years, she was a lead singer with the gospel group “Anointed New Praise.” Hannah enjoyed singing praises unto the Lord, using her creativity and she could always be found helping others. She was an honorary member of Word Of Life Church.

Mrs. Hurst leaves to cherish her memories, her husband: Mr. Larry Hurst, Sandersville, Georgia; daughter: Ms. Brandlyn Jones, Sandersville, Georgia, son: Mr. Steven B. Searcy, Sr., Vidalia, Georgia; extended son/nephew: Mr. Osborn Jones, Macon, Georgia; two sisters; Ms. Valeria Wimbush, Mrs. Cynthia (Maurice) Bennett, Macon, Georgia; one brother: Mr. Albert D. Jones, Sr. San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren: Mr. Dartavious Jones, Ms. Hhannerrikka Jones, Ms. Naya Jones, Ms. Winter Brown, Mr. Steven Searcy, Jr., Ms. Wisdom Brown, Ms. Londyn Searcy; eight great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
