Mrs. Betty Wee H. Cummings

Mrs. Betty Wee H. Cummings, Warthen, Georgia passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at University Hospital, Augusta, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at New Light Christian Fellowship Church with Apostle Tom Walker officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.
She was born Betty Wee Hatcher on December 4, 1942 to the parentage of the late Mrs. Lois Chain Hatcher and the late Mr. Freddie Hatcher, Sr.
Mrs. Cummings was educated in the public school system of Washington County. She was employed as a seamstress with Delta Apparel and Carter’s before retirement. She was also a caregiver for young children.
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing bingo, watching her favorite tv shows (The Young and the Restless, The Bold and Beautiful and Walker Texas Ranger), spending time with her children, grandchildren and especially great grandchildren. She was a dedicated and faithful member of New Light Christian Fellowship Church where she was passionate about singing. She served as the pastor’s aid, Sunday school secretary and on the finance committee.
Mrs. Cummings leaves to cherish her memories three daughters: Mrs. Mildred (Kenneth) Clayton, Mrs. Elaine (Karl) Burton, Sparta, GA, Mrs. Reba Davis, Milledgeville, GA; two sons: Mr. Leron (Sandra) Seals, Tennille, GA, Mr. David Cummings, Thomson, GA; two sisters: Mrs. Ida Johnson, Sandersville, GA, Ms. Lorene Hatcher, Philadelphia, PA; one brother: Mr. John Hatcher, Warthen, GA twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
