Mr. Charlie B. Cummings, Jr.


Mr. Charlie B. Cummings, Jr. passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Pruitt Health Hospice in Macon, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Pastor Mack Jackson officiating. Interment was held in church cemetery.

He was born on January 28, 1951 in Warthen, Georgia to the parentage of Mr. Charlie B. Cummings, Sr. and the late Mrs. Sara Lizzie Fields Cummings.

Mr. Cummings attended and graduated from T.J. Elder Comprehensive High School, Sandersville, Georgia. At an early age, he joined Mount Olive Baptist Church.

He loved spending time with his family and friends in the Tybee and Tennille Housing Authority Communities. He also loved sports, cookouts, listening to old school music and watching movies. After thirty (30) years of service, he retired from Washington County Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Cummings leaves to cherish his loving memories his father: Mr. Charlie B. Cummings, Sr., Warthen, Georgia; son: Mr. Christopher Cummings; four sisters: Mrs. Bessie (Rev. Tom) Miles, Warthen, Georgia, Mrs. Valarie (Pastor Mack) Jackson, Mrs. Mary Ann (Reginald) Massey, Sandersville, Georgia, Mrs. Jacquelyn (Thomas) Reddick, Covington, Georgia; one brother: Mr. Arthur Willie (Virginia) Cummings, Sandersville, Georgia; two granddaughters: Ms. Ca’liah Cummings, Ms. Ka’mila Cummings; three aunts: Mrs. Patricia (Hubert) Flournoy, Stockbridge, Georgia, Mrs. Lugene Sanford, Sandersville, Georgia, Mrs. Eugenia Cummings, Warthen, Georgia; two uncles: Mr. Willie B. Cummings, Tennille, Georgia, Mr. Gregory Wilcox; devoted cousins: Mrs. Agnes Brown, Mrs. Kathy Simmons Blocker; adopted sister: Mrs. Angela Lane, Tennille, Georgia; devoted friends: Mr. George Jackson, Jr., Mr. Thomas Jones, Mr. Earnest Jones, Mr. John Swint, Mr. Charlie Brown, Mrs. Vivian Grant; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
