Mrs. Lillie Hall

Mrs. Lillie Hall, affectionately known as " Mrs. Mot," passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019 at University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Union Hill Baptist Church with Elder Joel Rackins officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

She was born on August 10, 1933 to the parentage of the late Mr. James Wilson and the late Mrs. Mabel Armstrong Wilson Simons.

At an early age she joined Limestone A.M. E. Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, choir member, class leader and president of the usher board.

She received Jesus in 1988 and became a member of the House of Prayer Apostolic Church. She served as church secretary, choir member, treasurer for the missionary committee and president of the usher board.

Mrs. Hall attended Limestone A.M.E. Church school and T.J. Elder School. She moved to Augusta, GA where she met and married the late Mr. Albert E. Moment, Sr. To this union, four children were born. They lived in New York for many years before returning to Sandersville, GA.

In 1982, she married the late Mr. Bobby Hall. She was a loving person who never met a stranger. God, family and friends were her passion and delight. She loved to cook and was always cooking for her family.

She was preceded in death by her son: Mr. Moneyque Moment, Sr. and granddaughter: Ms. Michelle Moment.

Mrs. Hall leaves to cherish her memories three sons: Mr. Albert (Carolyn) Moment, Jr., Milledgeville, GA, Mr. Allen (Kathy) Moment, Sr., Mr. Clarence (Brenda) Moment, Sr., Sandersville, GA; daughter-in-law: Mrs. Annie Moment, Sandersville, GA; two sisters: Minister Dorothy Simons, Columbia, SC, Mrs. Shirley Rooney, Bronx, NY; nine grandchildren: Mr. Moneyque (Darlene) Moment, Jr., Ms. Lillie Patricia Moment, Ms. Angela Moment, Mr. Allen Moment, Jr., Mrs. Breana (Ulysses) Johnson, Mr. Albert (Julicia) Moment, III, Mrs. Alicia( Jesse) Soto, Mr. Clarence (Brittany) Moment, Jr., Mr. Clarence Jamal Moment, fourteen great grandchildren: Nivia, Naomi, Jesse, Nicholas, Jayden, Javorious, Jalecia, Sha’lexus, Quenstavious, Tristian, Shawntyunna, Michelle, Tatiana, Kataliya; four great great grandchildren: Kayden, Trevin, Summer, Christian; two godchildren: Mr. Joseph Cole, Minister Larry Morris; devoted friend: Ms. Cherrie Haynes; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
