Mrs. Rosa Lee Baker

Mrs. Rosa Lee Baker passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 at her residence. Funeral services were held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Gum Hill Baptist Church. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

She was born on September 23, 1932 in Baldwin County, Georgia, to the parentage of the late Mr. Lucious Webb and the late Mrs. L.D. Webb.

Mrs. Baker attended the public schools of Baldwin County. At an early age she joined Gum Hill Baptist Church.

For fifty five years, she was married to the late Mr. Walter Lee “Bo” Baker, Sr. She retired from Central State Hospital. She enjoyed helping others at no cost, watching soap operas, especially The Young and the Restless, tending to her cats and dogs and shopping at thrift stores, Roses and Burlington.

She was preceded in death by a daughter: Ms. Laura Jean Baker.

Mrs. Baker leaves to cherish her memories six sons: Elder Henry Lee (Denese) Baker, Tennille, Georgia, Mr. Curtis Baker, Mr. Tony Baker, Mr. Walter L. Baker, Jr., Mr. Herschel Baker, Milledgeville, Georgia, Mr. Johnny (Angela) Baker, Macon, Georgia; three sisters: Ms. Vondell Washington, Ms. Mary Jane Webb, Ms. Katie Bell Neal, Milledgeville, Georgia; one brother: Mr. Robert (Caroline) Webb, Milledgeville, Georgia; fifteen grandchildren: Sharonica Baker, Tony Baker, Jr., Matthew Baker, Tremayne L. Baker-Smith, Chiquita Baker, Demario James, Shanicka James, Ericka James, Savesha James, Sherrod James, Johnathan Baker, James Baker, Christian Baker, Latisha Baker, Celeste Baker; twenty eight great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
