Mr. Franklin "Bubba" Jackson

Mr. Franklin "Bubba" Jackson, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Deepstep, Georgia with Rev. Bobby Warren officiating. Interment was held in church cemetery.

Mr. Jackson was born on December 1, 1948 in Sandersville, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Dave and Mrs. Daisy Jackson.

He joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church at an early age and was ordained as a deacon in August 2012.

Mr. Jackson was a 1966 graduate of T.J. Elder High School. Immediately after graduation he joined the military and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After his discharge from the military, he drove trucks for forty years traveling all over the United States and Canada.

Mr. Jackson enjoyed watching westerns and cartoons, taking care of his chickens and keeping the grass cut at church until his health failed.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Ms. Dianne Jackson, Ms. Linda Jackson and one brother: Mr. Jerome Jackson.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife: Mrs. Vera Jackson, Sandersville, Georgia; son: Mr. Franklin Jackson, Jr. (Sonya Burden), Sandersville, Georgia; five daughters: Mrs. Sharon (Darrin) Johnson, Wadley, Georgia; Ms. Pamela Hall, Ms. Trina Hall, Ms. Tasha hall, Ms. Angela Reeves, Sandersville, Georgia; brother: Mr. Eldred (Janet) Jackson, Milledgeville, Georgia; three sisters: Ms. Annie Jackson, Mrs. Gail (K.C.) Winkfield, Mrs. Mavis (Richard) Brezial, Milledgeville, Georgia; aunt: Ms. Lou Willie Howell, Sandersville, Georgia; sister-in-law: Ms. Rochelle Marshall, Atlanta, Georgia; brother-in-law: Mr. Benjamin (Rebecca) Marshall, Tennille, Georgia; sixteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; several other relatives and friends.
