Mr. Horace James

Mr. Horace James, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at Union Hill Baptist Church with Elder Warren Harris officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

Mr. Horace James departed this life on Monday, March 4, 2019 at his residence in Tennille, Georgia.

Mr. James was born on March 3, 1928 in Washington County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Jessie James, Sr. and the late Mrs. Annie Lou James.

He was employed at the Lapp Insulator Company in Sandersville, Georgia for many years until retirement in 1993. He was well known at Lapp because of his dedication and work ethics.

Mr. James was a member of Shalom Temple in Sandersville, Georgia under the leadership of Pastor Larry Young.

He was preceded in death by his daughter: Mrs. Louise James Scott; two sisters: Mrs. Annie Rosa London, Mrs. Hattie Bell Harris; and five brothers: Mr. George James, Sr., Mr. Jessie James, Mr. Bobby James, Mr. Albert James and Mr. Morris James.

Mr. James is survived by his wife: Mrs. Erin James, Tennille, Georgia; three sons: Mr. Jeffery James, Mr. Rodney James, Mr. Ronnie Young, Tennille, Georgia; sister: Ms. Jewel Lucas, Chicago, Illinois; brother: Mr. Alex James, Tennille, Georgia; six sisters-in-law: Ms. Geraldine James, Ms. Catherine James, Tennille, Georgia, Ms. Ellen Jones, Dublin, Georgia, Ms. Edna Jones, Miami, Florida, Ms. Patricia Carter, Atlanta, Georgia, Ms. Everdine Asberry, Macon, Georgia; a host of other relatives and friends.
