Mr. Charlie Graham


Mr. Charlie Graham, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Zion AME Church, Davisboro, Georgia with Rev. Rufus Copeland officiating. Interment was held in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Charlie Graham was born in Tennille, Georgia on September 17, 1953 to the parentage of the late Mr. Jim Graham and the late Ms. Minnie Francis.

Charlie was educated at DD Crawford Elementary School in Tennille, Georgia, T.J. Elder High School and Washington County High School in Sandersville, Georgia. While attending high school, Charlie was a talented athlete. He was a basketball forward, baseball pitcher and a member of the 4X4 track team. He was class president of his senior class graduating in 1972.

He was a man of impeccable taste and possessed a keen sense of style for clothes, shoes and cars. He also enjoyed participating and watching various sporting events.

After high school, Charlie relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where his brother Mr. Louis “Billy” Graham and sister-in-law Mrs. Leslie Mae Graham resided. While in Atlanta he attended technical school. After technical school, he worked for different companies until landing a position with Pitney Bowes.

Mr. Graham worked for Pitney Bowes for several years. After retiring, he worked as a supervisor for Walden Security. Once he left Walden Security he went into full retirement. During retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Charlie joined Jackson Memorial Baptist Church where he was a devoted member. He was ordained as a deacon in June 2016.He was preceded in death by two brothers: Mr. Jimmy Graham and Mr. Louis “Billy” Graham.

On Tuesday, October 23, 2018, Charlie transitioned into the spirit realm where he is totally healed and restored. His passing leaves a great void in the lives of everyone that knew him.

Charlie has left wonderful memories to be cherished by his devoted son: Mr. Kenyatta Braswell; two grandchildren: Yaqui Johnson, Baylen Braswell; sister: Mrs. Carrie (Charlie) Hall; three aunts: Mrs. Doretha Bell, Mrs. Hattie Julia Brown, Mrs. Annie Thornton; sister-in-law: Mrs. Leslie Graham; devoted and lifelong friend: Mr. George (Janie) James, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
