Mr. Dave Jackson, Jr.

Mr. Dave Jackson, Jr. passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Chaplinwood Nursing Home in Milledgeville, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Deepstep, Georgia with Rev. Bobby Warren officiating. Interment was held in church cemetery.

Mr. Jackson was affectionately known by many as “Buddy.” He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at an early age and joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. He nurtured his faith, family and friends; loved baseball; and enjoyed fishing until his health declined.

Mr. Jackson received his formal education in the Washington County school system.He was joined in holy matrimony to Daisy Lou Brown on August 1, 1943. To this union, eight children were born, three of whom preceded him in death: Dianne, Linda, and Jerome.

Mr. Jackson leaves to cherish his memories two sons: Mr. Franklin (Vera) Jackson, Sr., Sandersville, GA, Mr. Eldred (Janet) Jackson, Milledgeville, GA; three daughters: Ms. Annie Lou Jackson, Mrs. Gail Jackson (K.C.) Winkfield, Mrs. Mavis Jackson (Ricky) Brezial, Milledgeville, GA.; one sister, Ms. Lou Willie Howell, Sandersville, GA; twenty grandchildren, including two reared as his own after their mother’s death, Ms. Angela Jackson Alexander, Washington, D.C., Mrs. Pamela Jackson (Jeffrey) Duckworth, Tennille, GA; fifty-four great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
