Ms. Alice Grant

Ms. Alice Grant, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at a local nursing home. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Jordan Grove Baptist, Davisboro, Georgia with Rev. Jimmy Davis officiating. Interment was held in church cemetery.

She was born on November 7, 1945 to the parentage of the late Mrs. Mary Julia Bell Grant and the late Mr. Haymond Grant.

Ms. Grant was a sweet lady who loved her family and friends and kept everyone laughing. Granny loved to cook and believed that everyone's kids were her grandkids. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, running around and playing with them as if she was eighteen.

Over the years she has fed, clothed and sheltered many kids. She was a believer that anything a man could do a woman could do better including yard work. Her favorite saying was “baby, don’t nothing get old but your clothes.”

She was preceded in death by a son: Mr. Walter Grant, two sisters: Mrs. Mary Helen Whitfield, Ms. Sadie Grant; five brothers: Mr. Willie Grant, Mr. Waymon Grant, Mr. John Grant, Mr. John Wesley Grant and Mr. Sammy Grant.

Ms. Grant leaves to cherish her memories her son: Mr. Ronnie Grant, Sr., Sandersville, Georgia; ten grandchildren: Ms. Tonika Grant, Mr. Antwon Grant, Ms. Brenda Fuller, Mr. Jeffery Dixon, Ms. Shonika Brown, Ms. Shawanda Brown, Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Ronnie (Lakenya) Grant, Jr., Hinesville, Georgia, Mrs. Shanta (Kris) Coleman, Dudley, Georgia, Mr. Kelvin Coleman, Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Brian Harris, Tennille, Georgia, fourteen great grandchildren; a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
