Mrs. Bessie M. Brooks

Mrs. Bessie M. Brooks, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at a local hospital. Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Henry L. Tanner officiating. Interment was held in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Brooks was born on April 30, 1927 in Sandersville, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. King Duggan and the late Mrs. Johnnie Will Duggan.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Mr. Tom Brooks; two sisters: Mrs. Precious Brooks, Ms. Maxine Duggan; one brother: Mr. Will Duggan; eight children: Ms. Carolyn Brooks, Ms. Ethel Brooks, Ms. Louise Brooks, Mr. Tommy Brooks, Mr. Johnny Brooks, Mr. Larry Brooks, Sr., Mr. Jimmie Brooks Mr. Leonard Brooks; one grandson: Mr. Deandre Brooks.

Mrs. Brooks is survived by three daughters: Ms. Dorothy Brooks, Ms. Jennie Brooks, Sandersville, Georgia, Ms. Angelina Brooks, Atlanta, Georgia; two sons: Mr. Joseph (Brenda) Brooks, Macon, Georgia, Mr. Tommie (Fletta) Poole, Sandersville, Georgia; twenty three grandchildren; several great grand children; a host of other relatives and friends.
