Ms. Leonia Lundy

Ms. Leonia Lundy, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Second Mineral Spring Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Henry L. Tanner officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Leonia Lundy departed this life on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. Lundy was born on December 2, 1938 to the parentage of the late Mr. Leroy Jordan and the late Mrs. Eula Kitchens Kelley.

She attended the public schools of Washington County. At a young age she joined Second Mineral Spring Baptist Church.

She was married to the late Mr. Wadies Lundy, Sr. for thirty eight years. This union was blessed with six children. One of whom predeceased her, Mr. Bennie Lundy. Mrs. Lundy was a homemaker who took pride in taking care of her family.

Mrs. Lundy leaves to cherish her memories three daughters: Ms. Geraldine Lundy, Mrs. Betty Jean Clayton, Mrs. Sheila (Earl) Swint, Warthen, Georgia; two sons: Mr. Wadies (Gladys) Lundy, Jr., Florida, Mr. Bobby (Lena) Lundy, Warthen, Georgia; four sisters: Ms. Ostine Tucker, Miami, Florida, Ms. Eurie Jackson, Mrs. Lizzie (Claude) Jackson, Thomson, Georgia, Ms. Mamie Redmond, Chattanooga, Tennessee; two brothers: Mr. Willie Lee (Jean) Warthen, Mr. M.H. (Occie) Warthen; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. M.C. Smith Funeral Home in charge.
