Ms. Eula Brown


Ms. Eula Brown, affectionately known as "Ma Jean", passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church with Rev. Dr. Wilhelmena Jordan officiating. Interment was held in Neeler A.M.E. Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Eula Mae Brown, affectionately known as Ma Jean, made her transition on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at her residence.

She was born on September 19, 1913 to the parentage of the late Mr. Rust Burden and the late Mrs. Jennie Burden.

Mrs. Brown received her early education from the Neeler School System. At an early age she joined Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church where she remained a faithful member until her health failed. Ma Jean worked many different jobs and was always willing to help others.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Dan Brown; sister: Ms. Vita Brinson; three nieces: Mrs. Doris Cullins Shedrick, Ms. Patricia Shedrick, Ms. Janice Diane Shedrick; two nephews: Mr. Tommy Ingram and Mr. Willie Cullins.

Mrs. Brown leaves to cherish her memories her niece: Mrs. Geneva (Luchius) White, Inwood, New York; three nephews: Mr. James (Evelyn) Cullins, Ridgeland, Mississippi, Mr. Johnny (Hattie) Shedrick, Mr. Grady Shedrick, Davisboro, Georgia; devoted great niece whom she raised: Mrs. Charlisa (James) Dixon; great great niece: Miss Simone Dixon; two devoted friends: Ms. Mable Stephens, Sandersville, Georgia, Ms. Bernice Williams, Davisboro, Georgia; a host of other relatives and friends. M.C. Smith Funeral Home in charge.
