Mr. Jessie W. Jackson III


Mr. Jessie W. Jackson III, affectionately known as "Bemmie", Warthen, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Holly Spring Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Brawner officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

Mr. Jackson was born on January 24, 1958 to the parentage of Mrs. Sylvia Jackson and the late Mr. Jessie Willard Jackson, Jr.

He was a 1976 graduate of Washington County High School. He was employed at National Homes, Thomson, GA for several years, Horton Homes for twelve years and C&H Farms for several years. Bemmie also did many odd and end jobs for numerous people. He was a collector of antiques, taxi cab driver, enjoyed gardening, farming, and most of all playing the lottery. Bemmie was a member of Holly Spring Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Mr. Bernard Jackson.

Mr. Jackson leaves to mourn, his loving mother: Mrs. Sylvia Jackson, Warthen, GA; three sisters: Ms. Lena Jackson, Warthen, GA, Ms. Mattie Jackson, Sandersville, GA, Mrs. Kathleen (Arthur) Wilcher, Wrens, GA; one brother: Mr. Marion (Denise) Neal, Hephzibah, GA; two daughters he reared: Ms. Jalessa Hunt, Ms. Tyeheisha Ivey; six aunts: Ms. Annie Robinson, Mrs. Eamie (Edward) Burten, Mrs. Kellie Hall, Mrs. Floyd Jackson, Warthen, GA, Ms. Anna Jackson, Montgomery, AL, Ms. Shirley Mitchum, Warner Robins, GA; two uncles: Mr. Andrew Jackson, Sr., Mr. Lenward (Brenda) Jackson; devoted niece: Ms. Quinterika Jackson, Tennille, Georgia; four devoted nephews: Mr. Roderick Jackson, Mr. Keldrick (Chandra) Tucker, Atlanta, GA, Mr. Thomas Neal, Augusta, GA, Mr. Octavious Jackson, North Carolina; devoted cousin: Mrs. Mary (Larry) Warthen, Warthen, GA; a host of other family, devoted friends and the Warthen Community.
