Mr. Marion Cannida


Mr. Marion Cannida, Sandersville, Georgia passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Henderson Grove A.M.E. Church with Rev. Henry L. Tanner officiating. Interment was held in the Church Cemetery.

Affectionately known as Baldly and Rev, Mr. Cannida was born on March 12, 1956 to the parentage of the late Mr. Otis “Son” Cannida and the late Mrs. Marie “Pie” Cannida.

Mr. Cannida was a member of Henderson Grove A.M.E. Church. He attended school in the Washington County School System, where he graduated from Washington County High School in 1974. After graduation, he decided to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army. He was an entrepreneur who was dedicated to serving his community. Marion was affectionately known for his infectious smile that would fill your heart with joy and laughter. Just by knowing him, you were truly blessed.

Mr. Cannida is survived by his: daughter: Mrs. Winnona (Mechonna) Hagwood, Waterbury, Connecticut; son: Mr. Marlon Coleman, Sr., Waterbury, Connecticut; three grandchildren: Ms. Naima Hagwood, Mr. Marlon Coleman, Jr., Master Syere Coleman, Waterbury, Connecticut; six sisters: Ms. Anne Mae Lawson, Tennille, Georgia, Ms. Francis Cannida, Ms. Ethelean Dixon, Ms. Phyllis Cannida, Ms. Sara Hudson, Mrs. Lynda (Lemuel) White, Sandersville, Georgia; two brothers: Mr. Willie Frank Cannida, Tennille, Georgia, Mr. Willie Lee (Kathleen) Cannida, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two aunts: Ms. Molly Trudie Hall, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Ms. Magnolia Cannida, St. Petersburg, Florida; two devoted friends: Ms. Winnie Wicker, Ms. Lakoyia Cofield, Davisboro, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
