Mrs. Ruby Lee Harris Head

Mrs. Ruby Head, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 in Dublin, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Tennille Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Rodney K. Turner officiating. Interment was held in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Head was born on October 8, 1931 in Tennille, Washington County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Joe Harris and the late Mrs. Daisy Washington.

She graduated from T. J. Elder High School, Sandersville, Georgia the Class of 1949.

After moving to Atlanta, Georgia she joined Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She was a faithful and dedicated member. She also served on the Mothers Board Ministry.

Mrs. Head had a passion for traveling, having visited every state in the United States as well as traveled abroad. She also loved fashion and could be seen adorned with fancy hats and shoes.

Mrs. Head is survived by five nieces: Ms. Rita Hunt, Sandersville, Georgia, Mrs. Michelle (Marcus) Wright, McCrae, Georgia; Ms. Sheryl Harris, Minneapolis, Minnesota; Mrs. Tamara (William) Robinson, Stockbridge, Georgia, Mrs. Terria (Marcus) Trawick, Milledgeville, Georgia; six nephews: Mr. Darrell Harris, Stafford, Virginia, Mr. Victor Harris, Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Vincent Harris, Mr. Detrick Harris, Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Craig Harris, Macon, Georgia, Mr.Calvin Brown, Dallas, Texas; one sister-in-law: Ms. Cora Lee Harris, Tennille, Georgia; several other relatives and friends.
